Updates
OK, from the pictures below, you can probably tell that Caleb is getting much bigger and is very happy! He is the perfectly cute happy little boy, almost all the time (of course, I'm kinda bias!). He seems to only be unhappy when he's teething, which he now has 3 popped through and possibly another on the way. The teething part is really beating him up though. He has gotten an ear infection and a sore throat both times he's gotten teeth. I'm not sure if the teeth are the cause of it (most likely!) or if its a really weird coincidence...
Other than teething, he's now definitely crawling all over the place. He can just about beat me to things that he shouldn't have. Although he is getting very efficient at crawling, he'd still rather stand and walk. If he is on the floor for too long, he gets bored and goes to the couch, his walker, or the toy box and pulls himself up to stand. He really loves when mommy and daddy let him walk with them though - he is so good at it, just needs to work on the balance still.
Last weekend I was able to stay home with him on Friday, so we spent 3 days hanging out and having fun. I got a little carried away with giving him real food too! He really loves all the stuff I gave him, but it was just a test on my part. We tried veggies, macNcheese, hamburger, potatoes, and anything that was simple for him. He loved the textures and tastes of it all, but it was all stuff he'd had pureed, so it was more for working on chewing than anything. And it really helped his teeth...he'd just chew with his front teeth until it was soft then move it around his mouth!
He really likes to talk, or jabber, too. He'll go forever just jabbering away at himself or whoever listens, but when he's done talking, he's done! He has now started to hoot and see if anyone responds. I can get him going for a good 5 minutes by hooting back at him - our own conversations!
We can't wait until it stays nicer outside so we can play on the patio and in the yard (which we'll have to put up a swing soon too!). He has been out a couple times and seems to just love it, which is great because Isaac and I are outside all the time in the summer. But I'll have to stock up on some sunscreen! We already have a bucket hat for him to keep his head covered, but until the wind dies down, it won't help much.
I'll try and keep putting pictures up as he keeps going and going, but bare with me!!
Have a great spring!

More pics

Mr. Slobber decided to start crawling, outside!

Mommy wanted to see what he did with real veggies. Of course, he choked!

Favorite place to go - where he's not supposed to be! The girls don't mind though, they share well.
Hunting for Easter eggs at Grandma Sandy's! 'Look I found one!'
'Gotcha!'
I'm a big boy, and look what I got! Having some Easter fun!
Daddy found a way to keep him stationary again!!

He found his way to the back door all by himself
Bubble bath!!! He liked it but it was hard to find his toys.

Another one
This second one is of Caleb playing with the same toy at home. He kept getting so much speed that he eventually moved the table. I had to move him to the carpet, so he wouldn't get stuck or tip it over!
Playing outside
The first one is sitting outside at Grammy's playing with his toys. This is the first time he figured out he could walk in circles all by himself!

He's going mobile
Well, the day is here at last - not that I was wishing for it by any means. I don't have the house baby-proofed, I can't imagine what all he'll get into, and it means that he's going to inevitably get hurt routinely. But Caleb can crawl all directions now. He has been going backwards for about 2-3 weeks and he just started last week to realize he could roll around and get things. Now he figured out he can go forward on all fours and get there faster.
We had a grill out last night and while I started the grill, he and I just sat out on the patio and I decided I'm going to get a few videos (since still pictures now won't do anyone any good!). He just loved being outside, trying out the new texture of concrete, and now crawling. Within the hour we were out there he went from not moving to 'leave me alone mom, I've got things to do' :)
As you can see in the video he was very happy and I can't wait until it stays warmer longer, so we can be out there for a while and he can get down in the grass.
Well, besides crawling now, he still only has 2 teeth (although some days I swear more are coming in), he is starting meat and has had some crackers, still loves bathtime and is the happiest baby I've ever seen. He loves to go to daycare and see Robin and all the kids (which he gets completely exhausted from so we all go to bed early) and now he's starting to like going to the store with Mommy and see all the new stuff. I'm not exactly sure what he weighs, but he is in 12 month clothes all around and some of them are getting small. He's definately a big boy, but in my eyes he's perfect! Caleb will be 8 months next week and I just can't believe it went that fast. Before I know it, he'll be older than I was pregnant, and that seemed forever!
I hope to keep my camera on me at all times this summer and get lots of pictures so I can let you all see him grow and learn new things!
Take care!
