Updates

OK, from the pictures below, you can probably tell that Caleb is getting much bigger and is very happy! He is the perfectly cute happy little boy, almost all the time (of course, I'm kinda bias!). He seems to only be unhappy when he's teething, which he now has 3 popped through and possibly another on the way. The teething part is really beating him up though. He has gotten an ear infection and a sore throat both times he's gotten teeth. I'm not sure if the teeth are the cause of it (most likely!) or if its a really weird coincidence...
Other than teething, he's now definitely crawling all over the place. He can just about beat me to things that he shouldn't have. Although he is getting very efficient at crawling, he'd still rather stand and walk. If he is on the floor for too long, he gets bored and goes to the couch, his walker, or the toy box and pulls himself up to stand. He really loves when mommy and daddy let him walk with them though - he is so good at it, just needs to work on the balance still.
Last weekend I was able to stay home with him on Friday, so we spent 3 days hanging out and having fun. I got a little carried away with giving him real food too! He really loves all the stuff I gave him, but it was just a test on my part. We tried veggies, macNcheese, hamburger, potatoes, and anything that was simple for him. He loved the textures and tastes of it all, but it was all stuff he'd had pureed, so it was more for working on chewing than anything. And it really helped his teeth...he'd just chew with his front teeth until it was soft then move it around his mouth!
He really likes to talk, or jabber, too. He'll go forever just jabbering away at himself or whoever listens, but when he's done talking, he's done! He has now started to hoot and see if anyone responds. I can get him going for a good 5 minutes by hooting back at him - our own conversations!
We can't wait until it stays nicer outside so we can play on the patio and in the yard (which we'll have to put up a swing soon too!). He has been out a couple times and seems to just love it, which is great because Isaac and I are outside all the time in the summer. But I'll have to stock up on some sunscreen! We already have a bucket hat for him to keep his head covered, but until the wind dies down, it won't help much.
I'll try and keep putting pictures up as he keeps going and going, but bare with me!!
Have a great spring!
